Revive Generosity, Rekindle Relationships, Restore Dignity

The Dignified Pacific Initiative works to empower communities in the Pacific region to rearticulate the role and worth of their cultural and natural resources as contributions towards global prosperity, with the goal of fostering the development of sustainable societies who engage with the world community as equal partners.

Gross National Generosity:
Our Philosophy

Gross National Generosity (GNG) aims to recover Dignity for the Pacific Island Countries (PICs)/ Oceania and other developing countries so that they can proudly perform their global roles knowing the value of their responsibilities as resource provider for the world. The heart and first goal of the vision is to transform self-perceptions starting from within, by revisiting and rearticulating what the PICs can do for the world in the future. This vision requires a redefinition of our priorities, reconsideration of our concepts and reevaluation of our development motivations from aiming towards "well being", to reflecting on the potential found in "well giving" towards the good of others. GNG suggests an ideal solution towards sustainable development where traditions and cultural values of developing countries can be preserved and encouraged while these countries are evolving towards prosperity.
